Great Grandma Weaver
She died my Freshman year of college, but she was such an amazing woman. I think of her often when I play the piano, because I know she's up there, listening. She was 91 in this video. She lived until she was 96. She was the Relief Society pianist until she could no longer make it to church (at least that's what I remember - hopefully I'm not telling lies), and she used to play the piano at the theater for the silent movies. So amazing!

Winter Weather - Or Not
It's almost Thanksgiving, and I feel stuck in October. We have been planning our Young Women in Excellence Night for so long, that I feel like life is continuing on without me. After Sunday, I'm sure it will all catch up with me. Then I can get excited for the holidays. Our camera is on the fritz, so I don't have any new pictures. Maybe Santa will bring us a new one for Christmas! In the mean time, here's an oldie, but a goodie.

It's September Already?
I just looked, and the last time I updated my blog was in March. That's so sad! I can't believe how busy life is right now. Brock is about to turn 9 on Saturday. He just started flag football, and loves it. He's in 3rd grade and LOVES school. Tyler is no longer a toddler. He is smart, and funny, and loves to look after everyone else. He is itching for school, but I'm making him wait until next year for preschool, because frankly, I don't want to have to pay that much money for two years in a row. So we're just trying to keep him entertained at the moment. Doug is busy at school. He's teaching 7th and 8th grade this year, and is trying to get ahead in his lesson plans so when Basketball season comes, he'll be prepared. I have been released from cub scouts and am now the 1st counselor in Young Womens, which I LOVE! I'm loving every minute of it, and believe me, it consumes a lot of minutes. My surgeries are (hopefully) behind me now, and we are looking forward to the holidays. Fall is my favorite time of year. The leaves outside are starting to change colors, and I only wish it would last longer than a few weeks like it usually does.
